XnView has a unique interface and behaves differently from Windows 10's default viewer "Photo" and the traditional "Windows Photo Viewer", so if you feel something is wrong or difficult to use, customize it in "Settings". Open "Settings" from "Start" and change "Photo Viewer" in "Default App" of "Apps" to XnView. If you want to open the image file with XnView, change "Default App" in "Settings" of Windows. When added to the context menu, "Open with XnView" is added to the right-click menu when an image file is selected. The startup wizard will open, so check "Add" Open with XnView "to the context menu". Uncheck "Visit website", check "Run XnViewMP" and click "Finish". If you want to create a desktop shortcut, check it and click "Next". Register in the start menu with the default "Next". If you are not particular about the installation destination, the default setting is "Next". Check the contents and if there are no problems, check "I accept the agreement" and click "Next". Since the setup wizard does not support Japanese, leave "English" and click "OK".
Launch the downloaded installer and when the User Account Control dialog is displayed, click "Yes" to allow it.
